about
Blur your vision from what you see
Turn this weekend into a dream
Till all I feel is you close to me
Till that's all I need
Because I've got this feeling that's in my bones
Ambition is sinking like a stone
But my thoughts are floating on their own
I want to leave myself alone
And flee the scene
To taste the metal in your teeth
(You're) Scared you're part of a machine
But you're part of everything
Everything to me
A crying shame
You spilled the hopes out of your veins
To oversaturate your grays
Just to fill all the empty space
San Andreas cracks in the city streets
As the ocean is dragging me to defeat
And you catch a wave and you're sitting on top
Before you're standing 6 feet deep
We're giving up up up on existing
Because the fear of fear is strangling
And even as tomorrow is beckoning
You just stop listening
You fall in love with a song
And fooled you're in love with me
And I'm a fool who's just in love with the feeling
Of an offshore breeze
The holes in your jeans
And the grass stains collected in between
And the hissing voice on a tape machine
the sound of nothing
gloomy june is such a delightful band to listen to and when I'm feeling sad I put on this EP. Bandcamp wants me to select a favorite track and I don't know that I can say there is one but I chose one anyway. They're all good. Solid songs that speak to the quality in writing, musicianship, and production. I only wish I lived somewhere in the areas where they tour so I could see them live.
Looking forward to seeing what comes next for this band. Much love to y'all from Minnesota. Auntie Jamie
Jack is a master of the sublte. Epic in scale and delicate in delivery, often turning emotions on a short sequence of notes. I wish they would embrace singing more as well because The Balad of Sister Rust and Tell Me are both incredible examples of their talent and ability. hazelforgotten
The members of Big Slice rubbed shoulders with Britpop legends like Suede & Echobelly—no surprise when you hear their radiant, hooky songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 17, 2022
